Two Auburn Tigers have been selected to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, a testament to their performances during a recent eleven‑day training camp in Cary, North Carolina.
The camp served as the final evaluation period for the national squad, where prospects were tested across multiple exhibition games before the official roster was finalized.
Chase Fralick, an incoming junior, posted a .333 batting average over eight games, showcasing consistent contact and poise at the plate.
Jackson Sanders, also a junior, demonstrated dominance on the mound, striking out four batters while surrendering only two hits across three appearances.
Both players will be guided by a coaching staff that includes Illinois head coach Dan Hartleb, who will serve as the team’s manager, and Arkansas pitching coach Matt Hobbs, who will oversee the pitching staff.
A New Chapter for Auburn’s Finest
For Fralick and Sanders, the selection marks a pivotal moment in their collegiate careers, offering a chance to represent their university on an international stage and to gain exposure ahead of potential professional opportunities.
The experience also underscores the growing talent pipeline within Auburn’s program, which has continued to produce players capable of competing at the highest levels of amateur baseball.
The United States will open its campaign in Taichung City, Taiwan, where the World Collegiate Baseball Championship is scheduled to run from July 11 through July 15.
Team USA’s schedule features matchups against Korea, Chinese Taipei and Japan, presenting a rigorous test as the Americans look to defend their title.
