The Troy Trojans’ recruiting momentum surged this past weekend as the program secured three additional verbal pledges, swelling its 2027 class to 21 commitments.
Jayden Milledge, a 6‑foot‑4‑inch, 265‑pound edge rusher from Prattville High School, announced his decision to Troy after earning All‑Metro honors as a junior. He chose the Trojans over a slate of offers that included Florida, Jacksonville State, FIU, Georgia State, Mercer and Samford.
Joining Milledge, William Moseley, a 6‑foot, 185‑pound long snapper from Valdosta High School, also committed to Troy. Moseley was recognized with All‑Region honors and is ranked as a four‑star prospect by Kohl’s Kicking, a testament to his precision and consistency.
The third addition, defensive end Derrion Gould, stands 6‑foot‑3 and weighs 240 pounds at Coahoma Community College. Gould trimmed his list to Troy over interest from Kentucky, Southern Miss and Old Dominion, signaling a strong fit for the program’s defensive scheme.
A defensive boost for the Trojans
The influx of size and experience on the defensive front gives Troy a deeper rotation heading into the next recruiting cycle. Coaches expect the new commits to compete immediately for playing time, potentially reshaping the line‑up and adding depth that was absent in recent seasons.
What this means for the future
With 21 pledges already locked in, the Trojans are positioning themselves as a destination for top talent in the Southeast. The commitments underscore the program’s growing appeal and suggest that the 2027 class could be one of the most competitive in school history.
