Colorado’s high school baseball community is gearing up for the 2026 state tournament, as the official brackets for classes 5A through 2A were unveiled this weekend. The announcement sets the stage for a series of games that will culminate in championship finals on May 30.
Bracket Structure and Format
Each class features eight teams competing in a true double‑elimination format, ensuring that every squad must win multiple games to stay alive while a single loss sends them to the consolation bracket.
Game Calendar
The first round of games will take place on May 22 and 23, covering matchups numbered 1 through 11. A second wave of contests, numbered 12 through 15, is scheduled for May 29 and 30, leading directly into the title games.
Championship Venues
Championships across the five divisions will be held on Saturday, May 30, at venues spread throughout the state. The 2A title will be contested in Pueblo at the Runyon Sports Complex, while the 3A championship will unfold in Greeley at Butch Butler Field and University High School. In Colorado Springs, the 4A final will be staged at the Air Force Academy’s facilities and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs campus. The 5A crown will be decided at Denver’s All‑Star Park and All‑City Stadium.
Attendance Rules
Spectator policies add a layer of regulation to the events. In Greeley, pets are prohibited from attending 3A games, and adults over 18 who do not possess a Department of Defense identification must complete a pre‑registration request to enter the Air Force Academy’s 4A venues.
With the schedule set and the locations confirmed, teams, coaches and fans alike are now focusing on the upcoming contests, eager to see which programs will advance to the final day of competition.
