Rutgers University announced its 2026 fall men’s soccer schedule, a 16‑match lineup that blends early road challenges with a substantial home stretch at Yurcak Field, home of RWJ Barnabas Stadium.
The Scarlet Knights will begin the season with two consecutive games in the Washington, D.C., area, opening on Thursday, August 20 against American and then facing Georgetown on Sunday, August 23.
After those road tests, the team returns to New Jersey for a five‑game homestand that starts on Friday, August 28 against Sacred Heart, followed by matches versus Seton Hall on September 4, UC Santa Barbara on September 7, UCLA on September 11 — marking the Big Ten opener — and a final non‑conference test against Princeton on September 15.
Conference play ramps up with a road swing at Ohio State on Friday, September 18 and a week later at defending national champion Washington on Friday, September 25.
The schedule then flips back to home turf, with Northwestern visiting on Friday, October 2 and Maryland arriving on Tuesday, October 6, before a series of alternating home and away fixtures that take the team to Wisconsin on October 10, Indiana on October 16, Penn State on October 20, Michigan on October 23 and finally Michigan State on October 30 to close the regular season.
A season that stretches across the East Coast
While exact kickoff times and broadcast designations will be released later, the slate promises a demanding test of depth and resilience for a program looking to build on recent progress.
