Laurence Frenette, a former Quinnipiac women's ice hockey forward, has officially signed with SDE Hockey of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL), marking the next chapter in a career that has already spanned North America and collegiate triumphs.
From College to the SDHL
During her final season with the Bobcats, Frenette posted career‑high totals of 23 assists and 29 points, contributions that helped Quinnipiac capture the ECAC Championship and earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament Regional Semifinal, where she capped her college career with a 4‑0 victory over Franklin Pierce.
Before arriving at Quinnipiac, the forward spent three seasons with the Clarkson Golden Knights, where she honed the offensive instincts that later flourished at the Division I level.
SDE Hockey, which finished the 2025‑26 campaign with a 19‑6‑11 record and fell in the semifinals to Frolunda HC, will now integrate Frenette into a roster that aims to contend for the league title. Her experience on the international stage is expected to bolster the team's depth as it pushes toward the next season.
