Flau’jae Johnson stepped onto the stage of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center surrounded by family, friends, coaches and former teammates, marking the culmination of a four‑year journey at LSU.
She received a degree in interdisciplinary studies, complemented by minors in business administration, communications studies and entrepreneurship, a combination that reflects her ambition to blend sport with business acumen.
The ceremony highlighted not only her academic achievements but also her impact on the basketball program, where she started every game and ranked second on the team in scoring.
Statistical Dominance and National Recognition
Johnson appeared in all 35 games, averaging 14.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals per contest, and she scored in double figures on 27 occasions, including nine games with 20 or more points.
Her performances earned her a spot on the Third Team All‑America selections from both the Associated Press and the United States Basketball Writers Association, and she was a finalist for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award.
She also secured a place on the All‑SEC First Team for the second straight season, underscoring her consistent excellence in the conference.
A New Chapter in the WNBA
Following the 2026 WNBA Draft, Johnson was traded to the Seattle Storm after being selected eighth overall by the Golden State Valkyries, a move that positions her for a promising professional career.
The Storm’s next appearance is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, a date that fans will mark as the debut of Johnson in her new uniform.
