The University of Arkansas men’s basketball squad is set to travel to the Bahamas for the 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Summer League, a week‑long showcase that runs from July 31 through August 4. The Razorbacks will join a field that blends NCAA powerhouses with elite international clubs, offering a unique test before the regular season.
Arkansas opens its schedule on July 31 at 7 p.m. Eastern against the Bahamas National Team, then meets Carleton University on August 1 at 6 p.m. ET, takes on Toros del Valle on August 3 at 6 p.m. ET, and wraps up the lineup on August 4 at noon ET against the University of Calgary.
The tournament will also feature other NCAA participants such as Cincinnati, South Carolina, Valparaiso and Texas A&M, underscoring the depth of competition that awaits the Razorbacks.
Opponent Profiles
The Bahamas roster draws talent from a range of age groups, giving the Razorbacks a varied defensive look. Carleton University, based in Ottawa, enters the event as the defending U Sports Men’s Final 8 champion and captured the 2026 national collegiate title. Toros del Valle, a professional side from Cali, Colombia, arrives after securing the 2026 Apertura championship, while the University of Calgary, the 2025 U Sports runner‑up and host of this year’s Final 8, rounds out the international contingent.
For Arkansas, the trip provides a chance to fine‑tune strategies, build chemistry and gain exposure on an international stage, all while testing new lineups ahead of the upcoming college season.
