All-State Selections Highlight Local Talent
The Pennsylvania Baseball Coaches Association recently unveiled its All-State baseball teams, spotlighting a wave of talent from the Sun-Gazette region. Montoursville’s Logan Kirby earned first-team honors in Class AAAA, while Montgomery’s Briar Persing secured a first-team spot in Class AA, underscoring the depth of skill in the area.
Additional local players also received recognition. Brody Aldendefer of Montoursville was placed on the second team outfield in Class 4A, and Williamsport’s Lucas Naughton and Deshaun White earned second-team Class 6A selections, reflecting a strong showing across multiple schools.
Wellsboro and Warrior Run stood out with the most selections on the Class AAA squad. Notably, Griff Harrington from Warrior Run was named Sun-Gazette Player of the Year and added second-team athlete honors to his accolades.
The announcements, made this week, celebrate not only individual achievement but also the growing prominence of high school baseball in the region, as the association continues to shape the state’s competitive landscape.
