Baseball Day Minnesota turned Delano Municipal Park into a showcase of high school talent on Saturday, hosting four separate games as part of the Strictly x Strib Varsity Spring Tour.
The event drew attention for featuring some of the state's most highly ranked prospects, including junior Tyson Moore, the top‑ranked player in Minnesota, who represented Buffalo, and senior Connor Finn, the No. 1 senior prospect, who suited up for Mahtomedi.
Finn contributed an RBI single that helped Mahtomedi secure a 10‑3 victory over Delano, while Moore demonstrated his plate discipline by reaching base twice through a walk and a hit‑by‑pitch.
The highlight of the day came from Dylan Lindstrom of Hopkins, who launched two home runs to power his team to a 9‑4 win over Buffalo, underscoring the depth of power hitting across the competition.

Beyond the scoreboard, the day served as a litmus test for the upcoming college recruitment cycle, giving scouts and coaches a firsthand look at the next generation of Minnesota baseball talent.
Local organizers said the event also reinforced community ties, bringing together families, alumni and local businesses in a celebration of high school athletics.
