The Jackson Polar Bears are set to open their 2026 campaign on August 21, marking the start of a new chapter after a .500 finish a year ago.
The team finished the 2025 season with a 6‑6 record, battling through a slate that included victories over Chardon, Mayfield, Green, Lake and GlenOak, while dropping games to Fitch, St. Francis, Perry, McKinley, Hoover, Brunswick and Mentor.
Season outlook
Competing in Division I, Region 1, the Polar Bears will face a challenging slate that pits them against Chardon, Hudson, Wadsworth, Warren Harding, Green, Perry, Lake, GlenOak, Canton McKinley and Hoover throughout the regular season.
Playoffs and championship
Postseason play begins on October 30, with the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s state championship games slated for early December at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton.
The schedule not only tests the squad’s depth but also offers opportunities to build momentum heading into the playoffs, where the ultimate goal is a coveted state title.
