North Carolina State University has once again secured a spot in the nation’s top 25 collegiate athletic programs, landing at No. 22 in the latest Directors’ Cup standings.
The Directors’ Cup evaluates institutions across a spectrum of sports, weighting men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, women’s soccer, volleyball and the next fourteen highest‑scoring disciplines.
While the Wolfpack’s women’s basketball and baseball squads experienced setbacks this season, the broader program compensated with strong showings in other sports, allowing the school to outrank every member of the Big 12 conference.
A Record of Resilience
Within the Atlantic Coast Conference, NC State finished sixth, a respectable placement given the league’s depth, and its achievement underscores the department’s efficiency despite a budget that does not rank among the nation’s elite.
