DeSales University’s baseball program is set to host an NCAA Division III Regional this weekend, bringing together a competitive field that includes Ramapo College and Salve Regina University.
A Milestone for the Bulldogs
The tournament marks the Bulldogs’ tenth appearance in the NCAA Tournament and their first since 2008, underscoring the program’s resurgence after a long hiatus.
The double‑elimination format will see the regional champion advance to the Super Regional round, a gateway to the College World Series scheduled for East Lake, Ohio.
Stars Earn All‑MAC Freedom Honors
Several DeSales players earned recognition on the All‑MAC Freedom Team, highlighted by seniors JT Anderosky and Mike Hooker, who received top honors among the conference’s elite.
Additional Bulldogs such as Owen Fischl, Jacob Rivera, Joe Ficoturo, Alex Crudder, Dominic Berretta, Kevin Brace and John Rorick also contributed to the squad’s depth and were acknowledged for their performances.
Leadership in Its Inaugural Year
Head coach Bryan Torresani, in his first year at the helm, brings an extensive coaching background that has already begun to shape the team’s competitive edge and culture.
Torresani’s experience includes previous stints at several collegiate programs where he developed talent that now features in the Bulldogs’ roster, reinforcing the program’s upward trajectory.
A Path Toward the College World Series
The regional winner will progress to the Super Regional, where the stakes intensify and the opportunity to reach the national championship game in East Lake becomes tangible.
Beyond the immediate tournament, the Bulldogs aim to build on this momentum, leveraging the experience of their senior leaders and the strategic guidance of Torresani to sustain success in future seasons.
