Two Auburn University baseball standouts, Chase Fralick and Jackson Sanders, have earned places on the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team that will compete in the World Collegiate Baseball Championship in Taiwan this July.
Exhibition Dominance Sets the Stage
During a series of eight exhibition games, Fralick started every contest and consistently contributed at the plate, recording multiple hits and driving in runs. Sanders, meanwhile, appeared in three relief outings without surrendering a run, allowing just two hits while striking out four batters.
Their performances helped the U.S. squad fine‑tune its roster ahead of the tournament, where it will face Korea, Chinese Taipei and Japan in the opening pool.
Auburn’s Legacy of Representation
Auburn has a storied connection to the USA Baseball program, boasting 13 former players who have worn the national jersey over the years. This summer, the university joins an elite group of six schools contributing multiple athletes to the collegiate national team.
Ethin Bingaman, another Auburn pitcher, showcased his versatility by appearing in all eight scrimmages, tallying four RBIs and ranking second on the team with seven hits. Though he did not make the final 20‑player roster, his contributions underscored the depth of talent within the program.
The upcoming tournament runs from July 11 to 15, with the U.S. team scheduled to play a series of games in Taichung City before moving to other venues. The experience offers the young players a chance to test themselves against some of the best collegiate competition worldwide.
Coaches and teammates alike praised the professionalism and preparedness of Fralick and Sanders, noting that their readiness could prove decisive as the Americans look to extend their winning tradition on the international stage.
