The University of Louisville’s men’s basketball program is set to travel to the Bahamas for a pair of exhibition contests that will be held in Nassau as part of the Baha Mar Hoops Summer League.
Game one is slated for 2 p.m. on July 28, followed by game two at noon on July 29, both taking place at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts and Entertainment Center.
A Strategic Stopover
Coach Pat Kelsey described the overseas swing as a “business trip,” emphasizing that the extra court time will be invaluable as the team integrates a dramatically altered lineup.
The 2026‑27 roster features nine newcomers and only one returning scholarship player, a composition that reflects the aggressive use of the NCAA transfer portal.
Kelsey pointed to a prior appearance in the same summer league as proof that such trips can accelerate chemistry, noting that the additional practice reps can translate into a smoother transition when the regular season begins.
