NJIT Women’s Soccer Unveils 2026 Schedule with High‑Profile Matchup Against North Carolina

Coach Ally Nick outlines a demanding slate that blends home opener excitement with a rigorous conference road grind.

NJIT’s women’s soccer program received a boost this week as head coach Ally Nick unveiled the 2026 season schedule, a 16‑match lineup that promises both early‑season thrills and a rigorous test of conference readiness.

The campaign kicks off on August 16 with a home clash against Rider, giving the Highlanders a chance to start the year in front of their own fans before hitting the road for matches at UMass and Lehigh later in August.

After a brief home stretch that includes a September 30 showdown with Drexel, the team embarks on a series of away games, traveling to Wagner on September 3, then to LIU on September 10, and finally to the powerhouse North Carolina on September 13.

Conference Play Begins

NJIT opens America East Conference action at home against New Hampshire on September 20, a game that will set the tone for a stretch where three of the next four contests are on the road, taking the team to UAlbany, Bryant and Maine.

A lone home fixture against UMBC arrives on October 1, offering a brief respite before the squad resumes its road swing through Vermont and Binghamham.

The regular season wraps up on October 25 with a home match versus UMass Lowell, after which the team will transition to the America East Championship, beginning with quarterfinal play on November 5, semifinals on November 8 and the title match on November 15.

Coach Nick said she is excited about the team’s potential and looks forward to seeing how the challenging schedule shapes the Highlanders’ growth.
