The University of Louisville’s men’s basketball program is set to embark on an international preseason adventure, traveling to The Bahamas for two exhibition contests in July 2026.
The games are part of the 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Summer League, a showcase organized by Kentucky‑based sports and entertainment firm bdG Sports, and will be held at the luxury Baha Mar resort on July 28 and 29.
Louisville will join a competitive field that also includes Arkansas, Cincinnati, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Valparaiso, using the trip as a chance to fine‑tune tactics and build chemistry before the regular season begins.
A Roster Reinvented
This year’s squad introduces several high‑profile newcomers, among them Flory Bidunga, Jackson Shelstad, Karter Knox and Álvaro Folgueiras, each expected to add depth and versatility to the lineup.
Veteran presence will be anchored by returning standouts such as Isaac Ellis, while emerging talents like Obinna Ekezie Jr., Boyuan Zhang and London Johnson look to make their mark on the exhibition stage.
Leadership and Logistics
Pat Kelsey, the team’s head coach, will oversee the overseas itinerary alongside associate coach Brooks Downing, who brings a track record of player development and strategic planning.
Adrian Wooley, the program’s director of basketball operations, will coordinate travel, accommodations and on‑site logistics, ensuring that the Bahamian leg runs smoothly alongside bdG Sports’ event management team.
