Bonne Terre’s Late Rally Secures 10-6 Victory Over Farmington in Junior American Legion District 13

David Miller's sixth-inning double and a strong relief effort from Kayson Moore swing the game in favor of the Eagles

The Junior American Legion District 13 tournament delivered a dramatic showdown on Tuesday night as the Bonne Terre Eagles faced off against the Farmington Knights at Engler Park in Missouri.

A Crucial Sixth-Inning Turnaround

David Miller stepped up with two outs in the sixth and launched a three-run double that flipped a 6-6 tie into a 10-6 lead, a hit that proved decisive in the final tally.

The Eagles had fallen behind early, as Farmington capitalized on a two-run double by Ben Johnson to take a 2-0 advantage in the opening innings.

Starter Connor Cline struggled, walking six batters and striking out three before being lifted, while Farmington’s Nolan Blankenship endured a rough outing, issuing six walks and recording five strikeouts.

Reliever Kayson Moore steadied the ship, delivering four solid innings of relief that kept the Knights at bay and preserved the Eagles’ momentum.

Offensively, the Eagles rallied with a flurry of hits: Brayden Blair drove in a run, Isaac Hayes drew an RBI walk, and Dalton Bauman added an RBI double to extend the lead.

Additional contributions came from Noah Lindsey and Kendrick Simon, each scoring twice, while Jaxson Hahn supplied two RBI hits and Dyson Walton reached base three times.

The victory improved Bonne Terre’s head-to-head record to 3-0 against Farmington this summer and secured a spot in the championship round, where they will look to maintain their early-season dominance.
