Coastal Carolina’s football program is set to make a prominent appearance at the 2026 Sun Belt Football Media Days, scheduled for July 15 and 16 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event will bring together representatives from every Sun Belt program, with the Chanticleers sending head coach Ryan Beard alongside wide receiver Robby Washington and defensive lineman Ibrahim Diawara.
Broadcast live on ESPN+, the two‑day gathering will highlight the conference’s East and West divisions on consecutive days, giving fans a first look at storylines that will shape the upcoming season. Sun Belt Commissioner Keith Gill is slated to open the festivities with his annual State of the Conference address, setting the tone for what promises to be a competitive year.
This year’s media days will mark the first time Louisiana Tech joins the Sun Belt’s media circuit, underscoring the conference’s expanding footprint. The Chanticleers will open the 2026 campaign on Saturday, September 5, at West Virginia, before hosting Fordham in their home opener at Brooks Stadium on September 12, a matchup that will test the team’s early‑season readiness.
