Michael Hrabal, the University of Massachusetts goaltender, has been selected for the 2025-26 Academic All-America Men's At-Large Third Team, a testament to his performance on the ice and his scholarly dedication.

A Dual Threat: Scholarship and Skill

Hrabal, a sport management major, completed his degree in just three years while maintaining a 3.82 GPA, a combination that reflects his disciplined approach both in the classroom and between the pipes.

His accolades extend beyond the academic sphere; he was named a 2026 New England All-Star, captured the 2026 Leonard Fowle Award, and reached the final round for the 2026 Mike Richter Award, given to the nation's top collegiate goaltender.

The Minutemen's net-minder also signed an entry-level contract with the Utah Mammoth, a move that will take effect after the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, signaling a promising transition to professional hockey.

During the latter half of the season, from January 1 onward, Hrabal posted a 13-4-1 record with four shutouts, a 1.33 goals-against average and a .959 save percentage, helping the team climb from the bottom of Hockey East to a second-place finish.

Overall, he finished the year with a 19-9-1 record, a 1.95 GAA and 837 saves across 29 games, placing him third nationally in save percentage, fifth in GAA and sixth in shutouts, while also earning back-to-back National Goaltender of the Month honors.

Teammate Aaron Bohlinger praised Hrabal's consistency, noting that he recorded 30 or more saves on ten occasions, including a career-high 50 stops against UConn on February 28.

Reflecting on his collegiate career, Hrabal amassed 2,661 saves over 95 appearances for UMass, a body of work that has positioned him as one of the most reliable goaltenders in Division I hockey.
