Madison Maloof Takes the Helm of Bradley’s New Women’s Ice Hockey Team
Bradley University announced this week that Madison Maloof, a former student‑athlete and longtime hockey player, has been named the inaugural head coach of the school’s newly created women’s ice hockey program. The team is slated to begin competition this fall as part of the university’s Premier Club Sports initiative, which will introduce five new women’s club sports across campus.
Craig Dahlquist, who serves as Premier Club Sports Director, praised Maloof’s deep connection to the university and her proven leadership on the ice. He noted that her experience as an assistant captain in the WCHL Division I Flatlanders and her decades‑long involvement in the sport make her uniquely qualified to build a competitive program.
A Coach with Roots in the Community
Maloof’s appointment also highlights the university’s broader push to expand athletic opportunities for female students. In addition to ice hockey, the upcoming slate will feature flag football and soccer this year, with plans to add STUNT and women’s wrestling in the following two seasons.
Beyond her coaching duties, Maloof works as a managing broker for Maloof Commercial Real Estate, a firm she inherited from her family. She began skating at age nine and has carried that passion into both her professional and athletic endeavors, bringing a player’s perspective to the coaching staff.
