The Orlando Solar Bears announced Tuesday that they have inked 24‑year‑old defenseman Jarod Crespo to a contract for the 2026‑27 season, marking the rookie’s first full professional campaign.

Crespo arrives after a standout collegiate career at Penn State, where he served as an alternate captain and earned Big Ten honors, including an honorable mention on the All‑Star Team and the conference’s sportsmanship award.
During his time with the Nittany Lions, he appeared in 141 games, posting 42 points and 91 penalty minutes, and was recognized for his leadership both on and off the ice.
Before turning professional, Crespo spent three seasons with the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL, captaining the 2021‑22 squad to a career‑high 28 points and 82 penalty minutes, and later contributed two games with the San Jose Barracuda in the AHL, where he scored his first pro goal on April 18.
