Anna Moser Commits to Florida Gators Women’s Basketball

Vermont's Gatorade Player of the Year will join the SEC program after a decorated high school career.

Anna Moser, a standout guard from Rutland, Vermont, has pledged to continue her basketball career at the University of Florida, joining the Gators women's program for the upcoming season.

A High School Star's Next Chapter

Moser will graduate from Hoosac School in New York in 2027, having already amassed a résumé that includes leading her team to the 2026 NEPSAC AAA Championship and earning the 2024 Gatorade Player of the Year honor in Vermont.

Her accolades also feature recognition as the New England Basketball Journal's NEPSAC AAA Girls Player of the Year, first‑team selections on the Burlington Free Press all‑state squad, and a co‑player of the year award from the Vermont Basketball Coaches' Association.

Beyond her local triumphs, Moser attracted interest from several Power‑4 programs, including Indiana, Virginia, Arizona and Mississippi State, before deciding on the SEC school.

Coach Kelly Rae Finley expressed excitement about the addition, noting that Moser’s blend of skill, work ethic and competitive fire should bolster Florida’s backcourt and help the Gators contend for a national title.

The commitment underscores a growing pipeline of elite talent moving from New England to the Sunshine State, a trend that could reshape the recruiting landscape in the coming years.
