The matchup is being billed as a celebration of the franchise’s 28th year in professional hockey and its 20th season as the AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Last season, a packed house of 6,190 fans witnessed the IceHogs edge the Admirals 3‑2 in overtime on opening night, setting a lively tone for the campaign. The memory of that sold‑out atmosphere adds extra anticipation for the upcoming game, which will again be presented by Hard Rock Casino Rockford.
The two clubs are slated to meet ten times over the course of the season, with five of those contests scheduled at the BMO Center and the remaining five in Wisconsin. The full slate of games will be released later this week, giving supporters a chance to map out their travel plans.
