Chase Daniel, a former Missouri standout and 2007 Heisman Trophy finalist, is set to make his debut on SEC Nation’s weekly traveling show this season, bringing his dual expertise as a college football and NFL analyst to the network’s flagship program.
The move comes as SEC Nation prepares to broadcast live from the SEC Kickoff Fan Fest in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday, July 19, where Daniel will join a lineup that includes new host Matt Barrie and veteran analysts Paul Finebaum, Roman Harper and Tim Tebow.
Daniel, who spent 14 years as an NFL quarterback before turning to broadcasting, praised the opportunity to “experience the energy of SEC crowds” and said he is eager to contribute to a platform that reaches millions of fans across the conference’s 14 member schools.
His broadcasting journey began while he was still an active player, with appearances on NFL Network’s NFL Gameday Final and a co‑hosting stint on FS1’s The Facility. He later launched a popular YouTube channel focused on quarterback analysis, and his work has been highlighted by ESPN senior vice president of production Meg Aronowitz, who called him “one of the most knowledgeable football minds on the air today.”
A New Chapter for SEC Nation’s Analyst Desk
The addition of Daniel underscores the network’s commitment to blending former player insight with seasoned journalistic voices, a strategy that executives say will deepen audience engagement as the SEC’s footprint expands nationally.
