UC San Diego has released its 2026‑27 men's basketball schedule, a 22‑game slate that will run from early December through early March. The announcement marks the Tritons' final season as a full member of the Big West before they move to the America West next year.
Opening Weekend Sets the Stage
The campaign opens with a home game against California Baptist on December 3 at LionTree Arena, followed by a road test at rival UC Irvine on December 5. Those early contests will give fans a first look at the team's chemistry and set the tone for the weeks ahead.
January brings a series of home contests, including matchups against Utah Valley, Sacramento State, Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton. The new year also features games at Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State on New Year's Eve and January 2, respectively, before the schedule shifts to early February with contests versus CSUN and Cal State Bakersfield.
Senior Night and the Road Ahead
February culminates with a showdown against UC Santa Barbara that will be accompanied by the annual Senior Night celebration, honoring the departing class of players. Coach Clint Allard, who led the team to a 23‑win season last year, will rely on a roster that returns ten veterans and welcomes six newcomers.
The regular season will wrap up with the Big West Basketball Championships in Henderson, Nevada, scheduled for March 10‑13. The neutral‑site event will bring together all twelve conference members, giving the Tritons one final opportunity to make an impact before transitioning to a new league.
Ticket information notes that season passes are available through the Triton Box Office, online or by phone, giving fans ample opportunity to follow the team throughout its final Big West campaign. The non‑conference slate, including the upcoming 2026 non‑conference contests, will be announced in the coming weeks.
