Fall Soccer Returns to Local Fields
Registration for the Sheridan County Youth Fall Soccer program is now open, with the sign‑up window closing on August 21. The season will kick off on August 31 and run through October 7, offering children in kindergarten through eighth grade a chance to play on community fields.
The program, organized by the Sheridan County YMCA, relies on volunteers to serve as coaches and referees. Local resident Liz Cassiday has been an active supporter of the initiative and encourages families to get involved.
Scholarships covering registration fees are available for families in need, made possible by generous community donations. These funds ensure that financial barriers do not keep any child from participating.
Those interested in volunteering or learning more about the scholarship opportunities can find details on the YMCA’s website. The organization continues to build a strong, inclusive soccer environment for the county’s youth.
