A schedule built for challenge
The Ascenders have finalized their 2026 high school football schedule, a slate that pits them against some of the nation’s most acclaimed programs.
Games are spread across the country, from a Florida showdown in Bradenton to a Utah matchup in American Fork, from a Texas contest in San Antonio to a Hawaii game in Honolulu, and even a Maryland clash in Baltimore.
Among the highlighted dates is a November 13 encounter with St. Frances Academy, a perennial powerhouse in Maryland, while earlier in the season they will travel to face Cornerstone Christian in Utah and New Palestine in Indiana.
The schedule also includes an international fixture against NFL Academy in London, adding a global dimension to the campaign.
Coming off an undefeated 2025 season that secured the top spot in the Florida High School Football Massey Rankings and a No. 3 national ranking by Rivals, the Ascenders enter the new year with lofty expectations.
Their roster features committed talent such as Zyron Forstall, Eric McFarland, Amarri Irvin and Jayden Wade, each poised to make a significant impact on the field.
Head coach Messay Hailemariam will guide a blend of seasoned veterans and fresh prospects, aiming to translate the demanding road trip into a stronger, more cohesive team.
Fans can anticipate a challenging itinerary, but the coaching staff believes the experience will forge a deeper foundation for future success.
