Auburn locks in 2026‑27 basketball schedule
The university announced this week that the Tigers have completed their slate for the upcoming season, a mix of demanding non‑conference road trips and a packed SEC calendar.
Head coach Steven Pearl, now in his second year at the helm, said the schedule reflects a deliberate effort to test the team early and build momentum for the conference grind.
Non‑conference showdowns
Auburn will open the season against Arizona on November 13, travel to face Clemson on December 1, and then head to Las Vegas to compete in the Players Era 8 Tournament in November, a showcase that pits the Tigers against a mix of elite programs.
Additional out‑of‑conference contests include a home game against Middle Tennessee on December 15 and a road test at Wisconsin on December 19, rounding out a schedule designed to sharpen the roster before SEC play.
SEC battle plan
In conference action, the Tigers will host Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee, while hitting the road for matchups at Arkansas, Kentucky, South Carolina, Texas, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.
The schedule also features double‑headers against Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss, with each of those opponents hosting one game in Auburn and the Tigers traveling for the other.
Coach Pearl emphasized that the blend of home‑court advantages and challenging away venues is intended to position the team for a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, a goal that eluded them last season before they captured the NIT title.
