Lincolnview’s softball and baseball programs have become fixtures on the regional championship stage, regularly contending for NWC titles and state-level competition, which has heightened expectations for a modernized playing environment.
Board Unanimously Approves Funding
During a recent meeting, the Lincolnview Local Schools Board of Education voted 4‑0 to adopt resolutions authorizing upgrades to the school’s athletic facilities, with board member Ashley Breese absent from the vote.
The financial backing for the project will come from the district’s capital projects fund, earmarking up to $900,000 for the improvements.
The planned enhancements include brand‑new dugouts for both softball and baseball, a fully renovated baseball dugout, modernized backstops, and an extended safety netting system designed to protect players and spectators alike.
Notably, the new softball dugouts will be constructed approximately two inches above field level to mitigate flooding risks during inclement weather.
Prodigy Solutions Development Director Eric Gros presented the detailed schematics to the board, outlining how the upgrades will meet the programs’ high performance standards.
Construction is slated to commence in the coming weeks, with officials targeting full completion before the 2027 spring sports season to ensure athletes can benefit from the improvements.
