Norton senior Caeden DeDomenic has been crowned the Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches Association’s Division IV Pitcher of the Year, a honor that underscores a dominant 2026 campaign.
He posted a 0.74 earned‑run average and a 0.88 WHIP while striking out 71 batters over 65 ⅔ innings, allowing just 47 hits and 11 walks.
His performance helped the Tigers clinch the district championship, capping a season that saw opponents bat only .192 against him.
A sweep of recognition across the region
The association’s all‑district teams also celebrated standout players from schools such as Walsh Jesuit and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, with Joe Johnson and Brandon Florjancic sharing Player of the Year honors in Division I and Landon Thiel earning Pitcher of the Year.
Division II highlighted Jack Andes and Drew Jones as co‑Players of the Year, while Riley Verderber was named Pitcher of the Year and Grant Graves took Coach of the Year.
In Division III, Braydon Songer was Player of the Year and Jack DeGeeter earned Pitcher of the Year, with Steve Young recognized as Coach of the Year.
Further afield, Division V and VI saw Cam Miller, Jack Watson, David Burkett, Luke Heckert, Grant Coblentz and Dave Maculaitis honored for their contributions, while Division VII celebrated Kannon Strever and Landyn Rossi as top talents.
The breadth of awardees reflects the deep talent pool across Northeast Ohio high school baseball, a testament to the coaching and community support that fuels continual excellence.
