Rowan University Baseball Advances to Super Regional After 18-7 Regional Win

A seven-run opening inning and a grand slam power the Profs past Southern Maine

Rowan University’s baseball squad delivered a commanding 18-7 victory over Southern Maine in the NCAA Regional, securing a spot in the Regional Final and moving one win away from the Super Regional.

A Seven-Run First Inning

The Profs exploded for seven runs in the opening frame, highlighted by a two-run single from Joey Bogart that set the tone. Bogart finished the game with four RBIs, establishing a new career high.

Brayden Davis added a grand slam in the eighth inning, his second home run in as many games, and finished 5-for-9 with nine RBIs throughout the regional tournament.

Pitching Performance

Austin Kreyenhagen threw 104 pitches over five innings, allowing just five runs while striking out seven batters, keeping Southern Maine’s offense in check.

Southern Maine entered the tournament having lost only twice at home, but Rowan’s offensive onslaught overpowered the Huskies. The Profs now stand one victory away from the Super Regional, a stage they have reached four times in the past five years.

Rowan will meet Southern Maine again on Monday; the Huskies must win twice, while the Profs need only a single win to advance.
