A Holistic Approach to Girls’ Soccer
Chicago Stars FC has unveiled a refreshed Future Stars program that places girls at the center of its soccer development pathway. The initiative was announced with a focus on addressing the unique mental and physiological needs of young female athletes.
Developed in collaboration with Director of Medical Juliet Barnes and the club’s medical and high‑performance staff, the curriculum comprises five distinct segments: Camps and Clinics, Future Stars Fest, the BGCC Soccer League, Goal Getters, and the Total Athlete Curriculum.
Camps and Clinics feature a dedicated warm‑up routine and ACL‑injury prevention exercises, while the Total Athlete Curriculum provides coaches with resources for teambuilding, skill progression, and social‑emotional learning.
Future Stars Fest events are slated for 2026 at Jackson Park and Evanston Township High School, offering participants a showcase for their growth. The BGCC Soccer League runs an eight‑week season that culminates in a league‑wide tournament, and the Goal Getters program brings soccer directly to Chicago Public Schools, expanding access for underserved students.
Partnerships Driving Impact
Support from partners such as Wintrust and Gatorade supplies both financial backing and material resources, reinforcing the program’s mission to empower girls and deliver lifelong benefits through sport.
