Louisiana Tech University has officially welcomed Elliott Burrows to its baseball program, confirming the signing of the right‑handed pitcher who spent the last two seasons at McNeese State.
A Family Legacy in the Making
Burrows follows in the footsteps of his father, Terry Burrows, a former McNeese pitcher who earned a place in the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame and later enjoyed a three‑year major‑league career with the Texas Rangers, Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres.
High School Stardom
At Magnolia High School in Texas, Elliott distinguished himself as a First‑Team All‑District selection and was crowned MHS Pitcher of the Year, a testament to his dominance on the mound.
His collegiate journey began at Navarro College, where he redshirted as a true freshman before transferring to McNeese ahead of the 2026 season, posting 21 relief appearances and a career‑high five strikeouts in a 12‑2 victory over LSU‑Alexandria.
During the season he logged 13 scoreless outings, including his first three appearances, and finished with a 3.67 ERA, an 0‑1 record and 32 strikeouts across 27 innings, while maintaining a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
