Middlebury Women’s Ice Hockey Garners Nine AHCA/Krampade All-American Scholar Honors

The recognition underscores the team's commitment to academic excellence in Division II and III.

The Middlebury College women's ice hockey team celebrated a notable academic accolade this week, as nine of its players were selected among the AHCA/Krampade All-American Scholars for the current season.

Scholar-Athlete Recognition

The honor, administered by the American Hockey Coaches Association, is reserved for student-athletes who maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.75 across both semesters of competition and who have participated in at least 40 percent of their team's games.

Among the honorees are recent graduates Rachel Neyman, Meg Simon and Sophia Will, alongside rising seniors Bridget Gray and juniors Zoë Bown, Olivia Gordon and Lauren Sobczak, and sophomores Alyssa Frazier and Susannah Ward.

Their inclusion adds to a growing tally of 62 Panther scholars who have earned the distinction since the 2021-22 campaign, reflecting a sustained culture of academic rigor within the program.

Middlebury joins a select group of 53 institutions across Division II and III whose athletes have been recognized, underscoring the conference's emphasis on balancing competitive sport with scholarly achievement.
