Adam Hepker has joined Jimmie Williams' coaching staff at Campbell University as an assistant coach, bringing a blend of playing experience and leadership to the program.
The move follows a four‑year stint as head coach at MidAmerica Nazarene University, where he guided the Pioneers to a 77‑42 record and captured the 2023‑24 outright regular‑season conference title with a 25‑6, 22‑2 mark.
A journey through the ranks
Before his head‑coaching role, Hepker honed his craft as a lead assistant at Ottawa University of Arizona from 2017 to 2021 and previously contributed to Grand View University, helping the Vikings reach the NAIA title game in 2016.
His first coaching position was at MidAmerica Nazarene, where he served five seasons after a playing career that included three NAIA All‑America honors and a 2007 national championship with Tournament MVP honors.
Hepker’s impact extended beyond wins; he coached at least one all‑American each season at MidAmerica Nazarene and mentored a roster that consistently punched above its expectations.
Family ties and future outlook
The addition of Hepker also resonates within his own family, with relatives Amy, Brenley, Bryson and Brooklyn all connected to the sport, underscoring a deep‑rooted basketball heritage.
Jimmie Williams expressed confidence that Hepker’s experience and winning pedigree will strengthen the Camels’ competitive edge as they aim for continued success in the Big South Conference.
