Darion Brown has been appointed head coach of the Nicholls State University men’s basketball program, returning to the campus where he once played and began his coaching career.
Brown brings a proven track record, having guided Texas A&M University‑Texarkana to consecutive 20‑win seasons and shaping a competitive roster that earned national attention.
His most recent experience includes a season as an assistant at Jacksonville University, where he contributed to player development and game strategy.
Before his coaching roles, Brown enjoyed a standout playing career at Our Lady of the Lake University, amassing 1,116 points, 551 assists, 270 rebounds and 189 steals while earning All‑RRAC Second Team honors.
Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts in business management from Our Lady of the Lake and an MBA from Salem University, underscoring his commitment to excellence both on the court and in the classroom.
