The SUNY Canton women's soccer program has released its 2026 campaign, a 19‑match schedule that blends non‑conference road trips with a compact home slate. The season opens with a pair of scrimmages in August before the regular season begins on September 1 against SUNY Poly.
A rigorous non‑conference start
Early road tests include a September 4 home game versus VTSU Johnson and a September 5 trip to Utica. Non‑league home fixtures later in the month feature matches against Norwich on September 9 and Keystone on September 12, while the next seven contests are largely on the road, taking the team to Keuka, St. Lawrence, Cobleskill, VTSU Lyndon, Oneonta and SUNY ESF.
October brings a mix of home and away contests. The SUNYAC home opener arrives on September 18 against Delhi, followed by home games in October against Clarkson, Plattsburgh, Oswego and Morrisville. The team will also travel to Cortland, Potsdam and Elmira during the month, maintaining a demanding itinerary as the season progresses.
Chasing the first SUNYAC tournament appearance
The program’s ultimate goal is to finish among the top eight in the SUNYAC standings, a threshold that guarantees a spot in the conference tournament. The top two seeds receive double byes and host semifinals on November 4, while the championship game is scheduled for November 7 at the highest remaining seed. First‑round playoff games are set for October 28, with second‑round matchups following on October 31.
