Campbell University has announced the hiring of Adam Hepker as an assistant coach on Jimmie Williams’ staff, a move that underscores the program’s intent to bolster its bench with a veteran mind.
A Championship Pedigree Returns to the Hardwood
Hepker arrives after a four‑year tenure as head coach at MidAmerica Nazarene, where he compiled a 77‑42 record and captured the 2023‑24 regular‑season conference title.
During that period the Pioneers posted a 25‑6 overall mark and a 22‑2 record in conference play, a performance that earned him recognition as one of the most decorated coaches in the school’s recent history.
Prior to his head‑coaching role, Hepker served as lead assistant at Ottawa University of Arizona from 2017 to 2021 and helped Grand View reach the NAIA title game in 2016.
His coaching journey began as an assistant at his alma mater, MidAmerica Nazarene, after a playing career that featured three NAIA all‑America honors and a 2007 national championship as Tournament MVP.
Family members also connected to the program include his wife Amy, sister Brenley, brother Bryson and sister Brooklyn, all of whom have been supportive throughout his career.
The addition of Hepker is expected to deepen the team’s strategic depth and reinforce Campbell’s competitive edge in upcoming seasons.
