Miami University announced Tuesday that head football coach Chuck Martin has added two seasoned professionals to his staff, appointing Zach Fremder as Director of Football Video and Creative Services and Darren Kagey as Director of Recruiting.

Fremder, a 2026 graduate with degrees in journalism and sport communication and media, brings four years of hands‑on experience with the university’s football social‑media team. In that role he produced daily graphics for recruiting and marketing, traveled with the squad as an in‑game photographer, and managed live posting and editing during games. His work also extended to the men’s basketball program beginning in 2023, where he helped shape a cohesive digital narrative across sports.
Kagey joins the RedHawks after serving as assistant director of football research and as a student analytics intern. A 2024 graduate in data analytics, he oversaw the internal transfer board application, contributed to college scouting efforts, and led the student analytics team that supported recruiting initiatives. His analytical background is expected to deepen the program’s data‑driven approach to talent evaluation.
