The 24th annual Kitna Wildcat Classic took place on July 9 at Suncadia Resort, drawing more than 200 golfers who competed in morning and afternoon sessions to raise funds for Central Washington University student‑athletes.
A milestone tournament
Dr. Dennis Francois, CWU’s director of athletics, praised the tournament’s growth and highlighted the role of Wells Fargo Financial Advisors as the presenting sponsor in recruiting top talent.
Winners were announced across divisions; in the Open Division, morning leaders included Dan Barker, Aaron Mackey, Pete Pratz and Joedon Terry, while the afternoon saw Mike Boyer, Chris Hutchens, Zane Kanyer and Daniel Williams take the top spots.
The competition also featured a raffle that awarded a CWU Travel Bag and a CWU Football Helmet with sideline passes, underscoring the event’s community spirit.
Beyond the fairway, the gathering reinforced the university’s athletic programs and the ongoing partnership with corporate supporters, reinforcing the Wildcats’ future.
