Monon Bell 2026: A Historic Rivalry Returns to a New Arena
The 132nd Monon Bell football game is set for November 14, 2026 at Ball State University’s Scheumann Stadium, a venue selected after DePauw’s historic Blackstock Stadium was slated for demolition.
General admission tickets will cost $50 plus Ticketmaster fees and will become available to the public in September, giving fans ample time to secure their seats for what promises to be a landmark contest.
Stevie Baker‑Watson, DePauw’s associate vice president for student wellness and director of athletics, expressed excitement about partnering with Ball State, highlighting the shared commitment to preserving the rivalry’s legacy while embracing new opportunities.
Jeff Mitchell, Ball State’s director of athletics, added that hosting the historic game at Scheumann Stadium is a point of pride and underscores the university’s role in supporting one of college football’s longest‑running rivalries.
The Monon Bell rivalry dates back to 1890 and has only been played at a neutral site seven times, making this year’s relocation a notable chapter in its storied history.
Wabash College currently leads the all‑time series 63‑59‑9, including a 44‑43‑6 record in games contested for the Monon Bell, a 300‑pound locomotive engine bell that has served as the trophy since just before the 1932 matchup.
The game will be streamed live across multiple platforms by ISC Sports Network, ensuring that alumni and fans unable to attend in person can still experience the action in real time.
