Tennessee’s baseball program is poised for a breakthrough at the 2026 MLB Draft, an event that could reshape the Volunteers’ future and cement the state’s reputation as a hotbed of talent.
A Milestone for Volunteer Baseball
At least five current Volunteers are projected to hear their names called, while an additional seven transfer athletes who have committed to the university are also eligible for selection, underscoring the depth of the roster.
The recent high school signing class, lauded as the No. 3 recruiting group nationally by Perfect Game, includes a dozen prospects who rank among the most likely to be drafted, adding another layer of excitement.
Draft Schedule and Broadcast Reach
The draft will unfold over two days, with Day One on Saturday, July 11, covering rounds one through four, and Day Two on Sunday, July 12, extending through rounds five to twenty.
