NASCAR Truck Series Returns to Lime Rock for 14th Race of 2026
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will mark its 14th scheduled event of the 2026 season when it rolls into Lime Rock Park in Connecticut this weekend. The historic 1.5‑mile circuit, which the series visits only once each year, is set to host the LiUNA 150, a race that has become a staple of the summer schedule.
Qualifying for the event will be divided into two groups, A and B, each given a single timed run to set their fastest lap. The metric‑based system determines which drivers fall into which group, and the overall fastest lap across both groups will dictate the starting order for the race.
Group A and Group B Lineups
Group A features a mix of veteran road‑course competitors, including Colin Braun, Corey LaJoie and Louis Foster, while Group B showcases a blend of rising talent such as Kris Wright, Chandler Smith and Kaden Honeycutt. The split allows the series to balance the diverse skill sets of its driver roster while maintaining a competitive edge.
Among the names in Group A, Corey Heim, who captured the pole position for the 2025 summer race at Lime Rock, will be looking to repeat his early‑season success. His performance will be closely watched as the metric system rewards the single best lap.
The upcoming race promises a blend of strategy and raw speed, with teams preparing their trucks for the unique demands of the Connecticut venue. Fans can expect a tightly contested battle for position, especially as the qualifying order is set to influence the entire starting grid.
