A Young Roster Looks to Turn the Tide
Coach Charles Morehead views the modest record not as a dead end but as a springboard. He emphasizes that the team’s youth is an asset, allowing fresh ideas and energy to shape the offense and defense alike. The coaching staff is focused on developing discipline and chemistry as the core of their strategy.
Among the standout performers is John Michael Neely, who topped the rushing charts last season with 481 yards on 94 carries. His blend of speed and vision makes him a central figure in the offense, and his leadership is already influencing younger teammates.
Offseason work has highlighted the promise of Owen Ellen, Baylen Harper, and Maddox Wilson, each showing marked improvement in drills and scrimmages. Freshman Kevin Diaz is also expected to earn significant varsity time, adding depth at multiple positions.
