A late‑night shooting erupted behind a basketball court on Lenox Avenue in Harlem, claiming the life of a 35‑year‑old Brooklyn man and leaving two others injured.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:23 p.m. on Tuesday, when officers responding to a call found the victims scattered behind the court at 70 Lenox Ave.
Kinu Rochford, 35, was shot in the head and later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, while a 28‑year‑old man was grazed in the shin and a 22‑year‑old woman was struck in the forearm.
Both injured parties were transported to local hospitals and are reported to be in stable condition, according to emergency responders.
