A Dominant Display in District 32
Carbino Club/Archbald secured the District 32 Majors Baseball championship with an 11-0 victory over Green Ridge on Tuesday, a performance that left the opposition scoreless and the crowd cheering.
Enzo Nicastro ignited the offense with an RBI double in the second inning, driving in the team’s first run, while Elio Brunori’s grand slam in the third inning opened a decisive gap. The offensive onslaught continued as the side added multiple runs before the game’s conclusion.
On the mound, Talon Prutzman delivered a stellar outing, limiting Green Ridge to just two hits over four innings and striking out six batters. His composure under pressure kept the opposing offense at bay despite occasional baserunners.
Coach Randy Sashko highlighted Nicastro’s defensive contributions and leadership in the outfield, noting that his three RBIs and two runs scored exemplified the all‑around effort that defined the team’s success.
The win also showcased solid hitting from Kody Malinowski, Rocco Forgione, Chase Bauer and others, while the defense turned in a clean game with only two hits allowed. With the championship secured, Carbino Club/Archbald now turns its focus to the Section 5 tournament, where they will meet the District 31 champion in the next round of competition.
