A New Era for Madison Memorial Basketball
Billy Wilson, a Madison Memorial alumnus and former player on the 2017 state‑tournament team, has been named head coach of the boys basketball program, succeeding Steve Collins.
Wilson spent the last four seasons guiding the junior varsity squad, building familiarity with the players and the program’s inner workings before stepping into the top role.

In his introductory remarks, Wilson highlighted the school’s role in shaping youngsters’ lives beyond the court, saying the program will continue to stress effort, pride and the process of winning the right way.
He pledged to preserve the culture that has defined Madison Memorial basketball while embracing the evolving nature of the sport, ensuring the team remains competitive in a changing landscape.
