A Promising Career Cut Short
Noah Boler‑Kyle, a 6‑foot‑9 forward who starred at Lee University in Tennessee, died earlier this week after a serious medical event that required hospitalization at UAB Hospital. The university’s athletic department confirmed his death on X, stating that funeral arrangements had not been announced as of Saturday.
A graduate of Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, Boler‑Kyle helped the school capture its first-ever AHSAA Class 1A boys’ basketball state championship in 2019, a triumph that put the small private institution on the map.
At Lee, he spent five seasons with the Flames, appearing in 27 games during the 2024‑25 campaign and posting averages of 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and a 59.1 % field‑goal percentage.
