A New Chapter for the Offensive Line
Chimdy Onoh arrived on campus as a four‑star prospect in Penn State’s 2023 recruiting class, ranking No. 13 among offensive linemen nationally. The Maryland native brought high expectations to State College, where he quickly became part of the program’s ongoing effort to revitalize the trenches.
Over the past two seasons Onoh has appeared in 12 games, yet he has yet to start a single contest. In 2025 he logged 12 appearances without a start, reflecting both the depth of the roster and the competitive nature of the position group.
The offensive line will undergo significant change heading into 2026. Heavy turnover after the 2025 season leaves only one returning starter, senior Anthony Donkoh, who will anchor the unit. This vacuum creates opportunities for younger players, including Onoh, to earn rotational snaps and potentially push for a starting role.
Coaches have highlighted Onoh’s versatility and work ethic as assets that could translate into more meaningful snaps next year. While a definitive starter position has not been promised, the staff expects him to contribute on the interior line and help maintain the unit’s stability as new faces integrate.
Looking Ahead
With the recruiting class now fully on campus, Penn State’s offensive line aims to blend experience with fresh talent. The upcoming season will be a test of how effectively Onoh and his peers can step into larger roles, a storyline that will be closely followed by fans and analysts alike.
