Woodland Christian Baseball Team Dominates League, Eyes Future Success

A perfect season, state‑leading performances, and junior‑college commitments highlight a standout year

The Woodland Christian boys baseball team capped a historic campaign by finishing the Sierra Delta League unbeaten at 12‑0 and closing the regular season with a 23‑5‑1 overall record. Their dominance earned a promotion to the CIF SJS Division 5 bracket and a No 4 seed heading into the playoffs, where they encountered a 3‑2 home upset at the hands of the No 13‑seeded Marysville squad.

Standout Performances

Jayden Badhesha emerged as the centerpiece of the team's success, capturing both the league MVP award and the overall team MVP honor. He topped California with 57 runs batted in, led the club in hits, home runs and doubles, and posted a 0.72 earned‑run average over 48.1 innings, going 5‑0 with 71 strikeouts across 11 appearances.

Armaan Badhesha anchored the offense, posting a team‑high batting average of .571 while adding 28 runs, seven stolen bases, 44 hits, 38 RBI and a .571 average that placed him among the league’s most feared hitters.

Jordan Villanueva contributed heavily on the basepaths and at the plate, finishing 11th statewide with 51 runs scored, stealing 25 bases and delivering a .506 average with 42 hits, 21 RBI, 10 doubles, two triples and a home run. On the mound he logged 32 innings, striking out 53 batters while maintaining a 2.19 ERA.

All‑League Honors

Landon Schneider and Makai Hernandez received first‑team All‑League selections, while Chris Cames and Mason Green earned second‑team recognition for their contributions.
